So, My Love and I went on a date

My family is visiting for a few months.  I don't know what kind of visit is that long, but it'll be nice to have them close for a while. My little sister had her birthday this past week and she said she wanted to plan dates for each of her brothers in law to take us her sisters on. My love and I got to go on a super romantic and fancy date to ... Wendy's! !  We ate our burgers and fries with forks and knives and we brought champagne glasses to eat the Frostys in.
The nugget has started eating with a spoon. He will hold the spoon in one hand and scoop the food into his mouth with the other. But still, it make my life easier.
We spent Sunday at Grandma's house to say goodbye to my sister-in-law. Little One loves to spend time in her garden picking strawberries. Oh by the way I started selling Mary Kay which is going very well.
This post is being written on my phone so it is very short and might not even work right.

So, my parents are in town!

Lots of stuff happened this week. I don't have tones of pictures because, honestly, I forgot.

First, we got some delicious zucchini from my mother-in-law. Little One made some zucchini bites. I just told her what to do and put it in the oven for her.

We put the zucchini, some cheese, onion, an egg, breadcrumbs, and garlic in the the food professor with the grater attachment.

She even scooped in the muffin tins. She is seriously a little chef pro.

I told her the oven was too not, but that she could use the cupboard as a pretend oven. When Nugget came to check out the pretend oven she told him it was too hot.

On Sunday my parents came into town. They are going to live here for a few months!
Nugget was warming right up to Mae Mae. The way to man's heart, right.

We took my parents to the place with the giant pizzas and went huckleberry picking. If you want to get summary it was basically like the other post. You can just look in the archive.

My sister likes to photo bomb.

Nugget kept trying to get into the dog food, so I had to put him in baby jail.

Little One thought it looked fun, and climbed in too.

So, it's huckleberry season

On Sunday my sister invited us to go huckleberry picking with her family and her in-laws. I thought it would be fun for Little One and Nugget to experience nature up close and person, so we went.
For Nugget we used a baby carrier and I felt so legit. Like a real foraging mother! Little One walked around and played with the dogs for bit. Eventually, she hunkered down next to Daddy and a bush full of berries and just ate as much as she could. Nugget got to taste a couple too, but I wanted most of the berries to make it home so we could make ice cream!

Here are the pics, ENJOY!
We met up with everyone at a gas station in some dinky little town so they could bring us to the best berry picking spot. Here is my lil sis and her daughter.

This picture is so like her. Singing some random Disney song in a gas station parking lot.

My sister's in-laws are the ones that planed the little trip. They are so funny and grew up in the area so they know the best spots.

Little One was ecstatic that they brought their dogs.

We only got a couple of hours of picking in before the kids decided it was time to go, but look at how many My Love got! And he was even the one that had to chase down Little One when she ran off. He is a berry picking machine. :)
This is Nugget's take-me-home-now-please face.

But most of the time he had been more than content to be so close to Mama.
I know I don't look like it but I serious felt like a hunter gatherer. I guess it just confirms that I am such a city girl.

He was pulling up everything he could reach, he even got some berries. You can't see it but there are like a dozen plants and flowers that's got his hands on tucked down between me and him.

The berries were so ripe that they were bursting as we picked them. Emily's mother inlaw said it looked like we slaughtered a dog. I kinda wonder how she knows what that would look like.

On the way home the sunset was perfect. The picture does not do it justice.

A perfect end to a perfect day

But that's not the end to my story. Last night at about 9:30pm my sister-in-law came over to make Huckleberry ice cream. We didn't realize how long it would take because as a write this the ice cream maker is still running. Don't worry we stick it back in the freezer for a few hours every once in a while.

I snuck a taste (or seven), it is soOo delicious.
Any family members close by should drop in for a scoop. It will probably/hopefully be done soon.

EXTRA EXTRA!!
Here are some things that happened, other than Huckleberry picking, the week.

That thing in Nugget's hand is a door stop and the chunk of drywall it was attached to. We tried to put him down for a nap at grandma's house, but he threw a temper tantrum and somehow got the whole thing detached. Needless to say, no more naps at grandma's house.

Little One got some new panties. She couldn't even wait until we got home to open them. Her favourite pair has a bunch of monkeys wearing shoes.

So, 32" is a lot of Pizza

This week a lot of things happened. We had a going away party for some friends that are moving to Logan, my Grandma, aunt, and cousin came to visit/ check out the university. We spent time in the garden. and, of course, the kids were just plain adorbs.

For the going away party for our friends we went to a tiny little town with a tiny little pizza place called Stoplight Pizza. They have 32" pizza! Little One was the only kid there who was bigger than the pizza. It was great. Any one visiting us has to remind me to take you there.

This is just outside the front doors. I thought this traffic light was a cute idea, and yes, that is my daughter with her head in a bush.

When the pizza came out Nugget didn't even know what to do with himself. Isn't it HUGE!!!

These are the friend that are moving. We will miss you guys.

This is how far away I had to keep my plate while I was holding Nugget. Any of you who have held him know he has Go Go Gadget arms.

Some of us got a little crazy. I don't think I've added a picture of her looking normal yet. Someone remind me to do that.

Luckily, when she dumped the water we had already eaten most of the pizza.

My Love was not able to come to the party. Thanks to a great brother-in-law though, this was the only way I was able to finish eating.

Over the weekend My grandma came into town all the way from Canada! We went over to swim in the hotel pool so many times. When ever we pulled into the parking lot Little One would say "Mama's Gamma." Little one also learned how to float on her back with a life jacket on. Yes, true it is not a physically hard thing to do, but mentally to be floating water and unable to touch the ground is scary! 'Mama's Gamma' started teaching her the basics of swimming. I remember when she taught me to swim.

My aunt apparently broke her foot vacuuming. Which I thought was funny because My Love just got his cast off from his Frisbee incident.

Little one like to help me do the laundry by putting the clothes in the dryer. Today she was teaching her stuffed animal how to be a big helper too. There is a great debate about the species of this animal. I think it is a giraffe, My Love thinks it is a cow, and recently Little One has started calling it her dinosaur. If you have any in put please feel free to comment.

Exciting news! Nugget will go to sleep with out crying about 50% of the time now.

This is a toy car Grandma Peony let Little One take care of for the week. I never thought I would say this sentence, but at one point I had to tell Little One "No, I will not put waffles in the toy car." She also kept trying to get inside of it.

the kids stormed the bathroom. This is Kerri pleading 'not guilty'.

I love spending time in the garden. We try to go out in the morning or evening when it's not too hot. Little One and Kerri look for peas to eat and Nugget just eats dirt.

Here our friend is trying to explain to the girls that they can not sit on the plants.

Some times Kerri come over to have breakfast with us.

We turned up the music and I told her to show me her moves. Little One has recently learned how to jump with both feet off the ground. She incorporates its into most of dancing.

To beat the heat we go to places like the library.

Little One loves books but Nugget doesn't quiet get the concept yet.
